Our goal: $50
for one Ìwẹrẹ Care visit.
Here is our plan.
Ìwẹrẹ Care is in pilot at Jakpa Health Centre and Ugbege Health Centre in Warri North, Delta State. This page shows how we plan to spend $50 on one visit: physician stipend, health worker, medicines, running costs and compliance. It is a planning estimate, not a record of visits already funded.
A planned $50, line by line.
Not yet audited.
Our plan, in the open.
We share this plan so physicians, patients and donors can see what one visit is meant to cover. The physician line is a small volunteer stipend for time and documentation.
The other lines are the costs we expect to pay at the health centre: the health worker, medicines from a local pharmacy, internet and power, and insurance. We will update these figures as the pilot teaches us more.
Four steps we plan for each visit.
protocol adapted.
Check-in with a health worker
Vitals, symptoms, allergies and current medicines are recorded before the doctor joins.
Video consult
A volunteer physician sees the patient by video. Itsekiri interpretation when needed. The health worker stays in the room.
Prescription and care plan
Generic medicines first. A longer care plan for long-term conditions such as high blood pressure.
Follow-up
A follow-up call after the visit and a check on how the patient is doing, recorded in Ìwẹrẹ Care records.
Two pilot centres, two planned.
Warri Central and Sapele next.
