§ Physician console · Design preview
Good morning, the volunteer physician. Five sample visits, one waiting.
This is how we picture a volunteer’s screen. Patients would come from our pilot health centres, Jakpa and Ugbege, in Warri North Local Government Area. All visits are primary care; emergencies go straight to in-person care. In this sample, a patient at Jakpa is waiting— fever, nurse in the room, rapid test pending.
Once visits begin, this will show how many patients you saw at Jakpa and Ugbege, and how many were follow-ups for ongoing conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes. No numbers yet — we are in pilot.
§ Your volunteer time
2hours a week · goal
Our goal is that a volunteer can give about two hours a week and feel safe doing it. The nurse at the health centre takes vitals before you join, so your time goes to the patient. We are exploring continuing-education credit for volunteer hours.
A few hours a month from wherever you live. The diaspora practice is real medicine — and patients at Jakpa and Ugbege get to be seen by one of their own. That is the work we are building with The Roli Mabo Foundation. Thank you.
